This full time fixed term post is available from 29 September-24 December 2008 to support the department’s teaching in the autumn term 2008 across a range of early modern history courses.

The main responsibility will be in undergraduate teaching, providing seminars for the first year introductory Historical Focus course and a Research Seminar on a topic of the Teaching Fellow’s choosing. The Teaching Fellow will also supervise final year dissertations, work with undergraduate personal tutees and provide support for the departments two early modern MA courses, in Reformation and Early Modern Studies and Shakespeare, Stratford upon Avon and the Cultural History of Renaissance England.

A record of relevant teaching experience and a research record in an appropriate area are essential.

Starting salary £25,888 to £33,780 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to £35,858 a year).
