Update from the Harley Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts, at the British Library …

The Harley Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts is offering users more options than ever ( http://www.bl.uk/catalogues/illuminatedmanuscripts/welcome.htm).

A significant number of manuscripts in the Harley Collection have been added to the Catalogue over the past months, thanks to a generous grant from the Getty Foundation. By the end of the project, in June 2009, descriptions and digital images for approximately 2000 illuminated manuscripts in the Harley collection will be available online. A conference to celebrate this achievement is being held at the British Library on 29-30 June (please see the CIM website for information and registration) [and as previously advertised here on the Forum: The Harley Conference; British Library, 29-30 June 2009].

[Admin: THE BIG NEWS!!! → ] Illuminated manuscripts from the Royal Collection are currently being catalogued and will be placed on the website from June 2009.

Please tell your students and colleagues about the CIM website and continue to visit it often.
