Teaching Associate in Norse and Viking Studies

Applications are invited for the above post based in the School of English. Candidates should hold a PhD, or equivalent, in Old Norse, Viking Studies, or other relevant field and be able to teach on core and optional modules in Medieval Studies with particular emphasis on Norse and Viking Studies. Candidates should also be willing to contribute to the delivery of modules on the School’s Master’s programmes taught on-site and via web-based distance learning. Teaching experience in higher education will be an advantage and there will be a specific outreach and engagement aspect to this post.

£27578 to £35938 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance
This full-time post is available from 1 January 2013 and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2013. This post is open to job share.
