The Lyon G. Tyler Department of History at The College of William & Mary invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professorship in the field of continental European history between1450 and 1750, to begin August 2013, and with the possibility of renewal.  Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. by the time of appointment.  The successful applicant will teach a 3/3 course load, including broad surveys of pre-modern European history and freshman seminars.  To apply, submit your letter of application, curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation via William & Mary’s online recruitment system at http://jobs.wm.edu.  Review of applications will begin on April 20, 2013, and will continue until the position is filled.  The College of William & Mary is an EO/AA employer.
