Full time, Salary is in the range £39,516 to £46,741 per annum inclusive of London Allowance
Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in French in the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
Applicants should have completed, or be very close to completing, a PhD in any area of French and Francophone literature and culture and have evidence of outstanding research potential. They should also have a strong and demonstrable commitment to teaching and have native or near-native command of spoken and written French.
The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking team specialising in French and Francophone literary, film and visual studies from the Medieval period to the present. S/he will be required to teach and examine courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and undertake French language teaching and administrative duties. S/he will also be given every opportunity to contribute to the School’s wide range of degree programmes, which include Comparative Literature and Culture, International Film and Visual Arts.
This is a full time and permanent post, available from 1st September 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
