Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter/innen (Lecturer and Researcher) in British Literature and Culture (2 posts),
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Responsibilities: Teaching courses on British literature and culture (in English language); research on British literature and culture, preferably in interdisciplinary context; collaboration in the organisation of the postgraduate “Master in British Studies” course; organisation of events and conferences; preparing a PhD on a historical/cultural-studies subject.

Requirements: A very good university degree in English with a focus on literary and cultural studies; excellent knowledge of English; a good active knowledge of German. Interest in higher education didactics; experience in editing; one or more of the following areas are desirable: cultural history, cultural exchange studies, interdisciplinarity, good IT skills. Additionally, studies in history, art history, political science, German studies, sociology, economics or ethnology would be an advantage.

Salary: Governed by the standard public sector salary scheme for graduates as applicable to the Humboldt-Universität, TV-L HU E 13 pro rata (50%).
