UE seek to appoint a Research Fellow to the On-line Part of Speech Tagger and Gold-standard Corpus of Scottish Gaelic project, within the Scottish and Celtic Studies subject area. You will be a key researcher on an exciting project funded by the Carnegie Trust and led by Dr William Lamb, with collaborators at Edinburgh Napier, Aberdeen and Glasgow Universities, and the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI). You will be responsible for developing a part-of-speech (POS) tagger and assisting with building a reference corpus for Scottish Gaelic. This job is offered for a one-year fixed contract.

UE plan to hold interviews in Edinburgh on Tuesday, 27th August. The post is available from 1st October 2013, on a fixed term contract until 30 September 2014.
