Celtic Studies, University of Oslo, is pleased to announce that it will host the
XIII International Symposium of Societas Celtologica Nordica
Oslo, 29 – 30 November 2013
CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers will be 20 minutes in length and may deal with any aspect of Celtic studies. Abstracts (max 200 words) should be sent by e-mail attachment to Jan Erik Rekdal (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Cathinka Hambro (email@example.com). Proposals should arrive no later than 30 September.
- Saturday 30 Nov. will start with the third Carl Marstrander lecture (2013) to be given by Charles Doherty (UCD). The conference will be held in commemoration of the establishing in 1913 of the Celtic Studies chair which Carl Marstrander was the first to hold. It is to be noted that Celtic Studies in Oslo are now seriously threatened with closure.
- On Friday 29 Nov. there will be a special section on medieval verse (Irish, Welsh and Norse).
The registration fee for the symposium is Euro 50€ (free for students).
