Assistant Professor, Early Modern British Literatures and Cultures,
Illinois State University.

The Department of English at Illinois State University invites applications for a nine month tenure-track Assistant Professor with an active research agenda in Early Modern British Literatures and Cultures. Preferred candidates will have a record of, or demonstrated potential for, distinguished scholarship and a commitment to excellence in teaching. We particularly encourage applications by scholars working in global approaches to the period, broadly defined, or in bibliography and archival methods, with interest in and experience building digital and multimodal projects. The selected candidate will join an internationally recognized English Studies faculty and participate in delivering a range of literature and culture courses. PhD required by time of appointment. 2/3 teaching load; salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
