Storytelling in Court and Cloister, King’s Manor, York, 2nd November 2013
The Society’s fifth one-day conference will take place on Saturday, 2nd November 2013, kindly hosted by the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of York. The theme of the conference is story-telling in the medieval world, considering in particular its uses in the context of court and of cloisters.
The speakers will include: Anthony Bale (Birkbeck), Ross Balzaretti (Nottingham), Bronach Kane (Cardiff), Henrietta Leyser (Oxford), Christopher Norton (York), Tom Pickles (Chester), David Rundle (Essex), Elisabeth van Houts (Cambridge).
Delegate Fee: the full delegate fee, including lunch and refreshements is £30, with members of the Society receiving a reduction of a third and paying £20. Bursaries: The Society will be providing travel grants to assist graduates wishing to attend the conference. For more information, please contact the Society.
