Job Summary: The School of Divinity, History and Philosophy is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to the Centre for Scandinavian Studies. Applicants should have an international research record in any aspect of Scandinavian studies, i.e., language, literature, history and culture. Experience of research and teaching in Early Scandinavian literature and/or history is particularly welcome. A significant record of research in Scandinavian culture and advanced knowledge in Old Norse are essential, and fluency in at least one modern Scandinavian language is desirable. Undergraduate teaching in an appropriate discipline will be required, as will a willingness to undertake appropriate administrative duties.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 scale (£37,756 – £45,053 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
