Job Summary: The School of Divinity, History and Philosophy is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow to the Centre for Scandinavian Studies for the period January to June 2014. Applicants should have a research interest in any aspect of Scandinavian studies, i.e., language, literature, history and culture. Experience of teaching in Early Scandinavian literature and/or history is particularly welcome. A PhD in Scandinavian culture and advanced knowledge in Old Norse are essential, and fluency in at least one modern Scandinavian language is desirable. A willingness to teach across disciplines will be required, as well as the performance of appropriate administrative duties.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 scale (£30,728 – £36,661 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
