The University of York is seeking to appoint to a fixed term Lectureship in Early Modern British History from 1 October 2014. This is to replace Dr Chris Renwick, who has been awarded an AHRC Early Career Fellowship.

You should have a PhD in Early Modern British History and ideally hold an appropriate teaching qualification. You will have an emerging publication record in Early Modern History. You should have proven experience of teaching at undergraduate level and provide evidence of successful course planning, design and delivery across a range of modules.

Salary will be within the range £36,661 to £45,053 a year. The post is full-time (37 hours per week), available from 1 October 2014 for a period of 18 months.
