School of History/Universal Short Title Catalogue, Salary:
£25,513 – £30,434 per annum, pro rata,
Hours of work: 18.125 per week,
Fixed term: 21 months, Start: As soon as possible
The School of History is seeking to appoint to a new position within the AHRC-funded Universal Short Title Catalogue Project. The successful candidate will have responsibility for that part of the project dealing with the bibliography of France, 1601-1650. This is a half-time position, for a fixed term of twenty-one months.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience working within the field of French history or literature, and to have prior experience of working with early printed books. A good command of French is essential. Command of Latin or one other European language in addition to English would be an advantage. There are no teaching duties attached to this post, although opportunities to obtain teaching experience may be available by agreement with the Project Director.
