Closing date 30th November

College Lectureship in History,
St Catharine’s College.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a College Lectureship in History tenable for five years in the first instance, but with the possibility of renewal to retirement thereafter, to begin from a date no later than 1 October 2016.

The College is seeking a specialist in the fields of Modern British or European History (1500 to the present day), or World History, or in American History.  The post-holder will be required to undertake 12 hours of small group College teaching per week during Terms (in total 240 hours per year), and will be expected to assume a role as one of the College Directors of Studies in History, for which additional payment is made. College Lecturers are normally elected to a College Fellowship, which carries a range of other benefits and responsibilities.

There may be further opportunities to contribute to teaching programmes in the Faculty of History.
