Liverpool School of Art & Design seeks to appoint a Research Assistant to support the research activity of Face Lab.

The appointee will have the demonstrated ability to carry out research in facial animation and forensic art fields, and will be expected to become involved in the public engagement of Face Lab locally, nationally and internationally.

Face Lab was formed in 2014 at LJMU and researchers from the Lab have had great success in craniofacial analysis, identification of unknown bodies in forensic investigation, or historical figures for archaeological depiction. This work may involve facial reconstruction, post-mortem depiction, craniofacial superimposition and skull reassembly. Face Lab research relates to facial identification, post-mortem decomposition, ancestry determination, craniofacial reconstruction, preserved bodies and facial animation.
