Teaching Associate in Classics,
University of Nottingham.

Applications are invited for the above post based at the Humanities Building in University Park, Nottingham.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong research potential in Classical Studies (broadly defined) or Ancient History. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules, for supervising taught postgraduate research and for contributing to departmental administration.

Candidates must have a PhD at or near completion in Classical Studies or have the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, ability to teach Classical Studies at all levels, ability and willingness to contribute to ancient Greek and/or Latin language teaching at beginners and intermediate levels, and a strong commitment to the Department.

It is desirable that the candidate should be able to teach ancient Greek and/or Latin to advanced level.

This full-time post is available from 1 September 2015 and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 9 months.
